Won't the Timing of Allocations Mess Up Payments to Vendors?

profit first Mar 07, 2022

Hi, it's Kelley from Profit Scale Thrive with another FAQ about Profit First.

Today's question is I pay all my vendors on the same day each month. If I do allocations to the OPEX account on the 10th and the 25th. Is that going to be a problem for getting my vendors paid on time?

No, it shouldn't be a problem. So let's say that you pay vendors on the 10th. Only when the allocation to the OPEX account goes in on the 25th. It's just going to sit there in the bank account.

And then when the next allocation on the 10th goes into OPEX, it's going to add to what you already put in from the 25th on your last allocation. And then you sit down on the 10th and you go ahead and pay your vendors from what you already have in the OPEX account.
