Nitch or Neesh?

This has been bugging me lately: how to pronounce the word niche.

Do you pronounce it "nitch" like ditch and witch?

Do you pronounce it "neesh" like geesh (or is it spelled jeesh?)?

I pronounce it the first way, nitch, but I'm curious how others say it.

So, nitch or neesh?
