Elastic and Running
Jan 25, 2021I took time off from running (really jogging...ok, slow jogging) to heal my plantar fasciitis. What I intended to be a short break, turned into months which turned into 5 years. Oops! 😳
I'm fully recovered now although I have a lot of extra "padding" these days that I need to shed. So, I'm back to running. Ok - attempting to jog.
I started a Couch to 5K training program a few weeks ago. Today was week 3, day 1.
Excited that I'm can see improvement in my running over the last two weeks, I couldn't wait to get to the gym today! I start my warm-up and notice that my pants seem to be sitting really low on my hips.
I tugged them up. They started sagging again. I tugged them up higher. Then it occurred to me that the elastic in my pants was shot! Ugh! I prayed, please God, let me make it through this run without embarrassment!!
I'm pleased to announce that I made it 25 minutes without a wardrobe malfunction!!
