Our domain rating increased by over 40%, and we got over 500 more backlinks (links from other websites to our site).

 

Through blog posts optimized for keywords by ChatGPT, we were able to really focus on target keywords that rank high for phrases. It also allowed us to increase our keywords from 300 to over 7,000, which caused our website clicks to jump from 100 per month to 4,000.

 

Here are some ways any business can use generative AI technology to improve their marketing strategy:

 

Train the AI to find the best keywords Before having ChatGPT create an entire strategy from scratch, you need to start with the basics. Identify your goals first and let that guide your process. Ask ChatGPT for the most common keywords related to your industry, then get more specific phrase options.

 

We started by asking: "What are the most common SEO keywords related to the accounting industry?"

 

It provided a list of 20 phrases that gave us plenty of ideas for new blog posts! But ChatGPT isn't perfect - it suggested keywords for personal taxes and the economy when we needed small business accounting.

 

Once you settle on the right keywords, ask ChatGPT to organize them into categories like commercial, transactional, and informational words. These categories will be important later for creating targeted content for different areas of your website.

 

You'll also need to give ChatGPT more information about your specific company, like your "About" section, press releases, social media profiles, etc. Use content you already have to help the AI understand your company and industry better.

 

As we gave the AI more information, the recommendations improved.

 

Remember that AI learns from data, so the more data you provide, the more accurate it will become for your needs.

 

Use categories to create targeted marketing content

After using AI to highlight target keywords and categories, you can develop an SEO strategy to help you get a top spot in search results.

 

One of ChatGPT's best uses is for creating content like blog ideas, titles, and website copy. Make sure to do this in the same conversation so it has all the training data. Here's a prompt you can use:

 

"Given all the above information, create a 6-month marketing plan that includes keywords to target, blog topics, and best practices."

 

You can get even more specific by using the keyword categories, like:

 

"Give me 10 informational blog post ideas to boost ranking for the informational keywords."

 

We used AI to generate over 100 blog titles, then turned them into full blog posts. You can edit the AI's content, but use it as a starting point. This allowed us to create optimized blogs much faster.

 

This tool is also useful for writing metadata descriptions for your services. Give ChatGPT details about the service, then ask:

 

"Write a 160-character metadata description for [service name] using the commercial keywords shared earlier."

 

The AI content is a first draft. You'll still need to review the quality and modify it. But following this process gives you a solid marketing strategy.

 

Using smart prompts You'll learn that how you phrase prompts is very important. Compare these two prompts:

 

"Write a post about the best wineries in California."

 

"Write a blog post about why family-owned wineries in California provide a unique customer experience."

 

The more context and style details you give ChatGPT, the better it can match your company's voice.

 

Different goals need different prompts. Consider the audience and where the content will be shared. One expert shared over 190 prompt examples for marketers based on goals.

 

If boosting SEO is the goal, try prompts like:

  • "Generate X title tags under 60 characters with the keyword [keyword]."
  • "Write a meta description under 155 characters for a page about [topic]."
  • "Rephrase this email to sound fun but professional."

 

The AI doesn't have intuition, so you have to spell out exactly what you want - length, tone, etc. Those prompts give inspiration, but you can create endless possibilities with a strong prompt.

 

Use AI to audit your website quality lead generation requires a search-optimized website. If rewriting your site isn't an option, start by understanding its SEO issues.

 

You can ask OpenAI to analyze your site and identify basic SEO problems like page speed and mobile optimization, with prompts like:

  • "Run an SEO audit on [website]."

It may find issues like missing title tags, incomplete meta descriptions, improper header tags, missing internal links, poor mobile viewing, or slow loading speed. Each factor impacts where the page ranks in search.

 

You can then use previous prompts to tackle those issues.

 

You can also use ChatGPT to research common customer questions and complaints about your product or industry. This helps you provide tailored, specific marketing that converts users. Try prompts like:

  • "What are common questions about my product?"
  • "What are the biggest complaints in my industry?"

 

Embrace your new AI team member AI won't replace anyone, but it's a powerful tool to allow your team to spend more time on important tasks. To make it work, assess where AI can fill gaps in your process.
